(PM49) Consultant - Logistics & Infrastructure policy

The successful candidate (or candidates) will join our clients rapidly growing Advisory Team based in London. You will support and drive projects across the UK, Europe and the Middle East, provide specialist input on Logistics and Infrastructure policy, and contribute to the development of the Advisory Business.

Candidates will have experience in any of the following areas:

- Logistics and supply chain investigation to support investment priorities
- Identification and definition of transport options;
- Facility Master Planning ranging from road, rail, maritime ports, logistics hubs and airports;
- Transport strategy development;
- Value chain transport strategy testing; and
- Operational strategies and regulatory situation analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

- To provide advice across projects with private and public sector clients, acting as Project Manager on specific projects;
- Providing advice on government legislation and regulatory developments in relation to the freight, transportation, and facility planning for the logistics industry;
- Carry out infrastructure needs analysis and assessment;
- Input into the development of operational strategies and regulatory situation analysis;
- Undertaking financial and commercial analysis of infrastructure projects;
- Work with Economic Advisors for the preparation of business cases and other investment documents
- Advising on the development of commercial principles and procurement strategies
- Advising on alternative financing options
- Preparing concise, accurate and focused written analysis, recommendations and presentations

What you will bring to the role:

- Degree Qualification in a related discipline such as Business, Engineering, Planning, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent operational experience
- Up to 5 years Advisory experience in a recognised contracting or consulting environment
- Proven analytical skills, including market analysis skills as well as proven problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex issues relating to technology
- Ability to combine business, finance and strategy concepts in to measurable results
- Visual Basic Application (VBA) modelling techniques
