POSITION:       Transport Consultant/ Senior Transport Consultant  
LOCATION:      London

Overview of Requirements

Our Client is seeking candidates familiar with supporting planning applications through the preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Delivery and Servicing Plans, Construction Logistics Plans and the transport chapters of Environmental Statement and developing access, parking and servicing solutions. At the more senior level ideally candidates would have experience of liaising with clients and other professionals including architects and town planners and drafting fee proposals.

Projects

Work is predominantly private-sector development, including working in the residential, student accommodation, commercial, retail, education, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors. The scale of our projects varies from small schemes such as 5-10 houses up to larger schemes at circa 2,000 dwellings. Commercial work can range from extension and refurbishment schemes up to comprehensive redevelopment of office blocks in central London, while retail work may range from retail park asset improvement up to regional shopping centre extensions. Project work is largely focused in London; as well as the home counties and across the UK.

Office Structure

Our client does not operate set teams, this allows all staff to work with all Directors and vice versa. Staff gain a broader range of experience and working styles, and allows for more-efficient resource planning. This open and communicative working style with staff encouraged to share knowledge/experience, which benefits all members of staff both junior and senior. Staff are also encouraged to source training courses and events that are relevant and beneficial to their role/position in order to maintain continuing professional development (CPD).  

Terms and Benefits

• Competitive salary (negotiable and tailored to candidate/experience)
• 37.5 hours standard working week
• 27 days holiday leave per year

• Performance-related annual bonus (previous years have been up to 15%, paid in two instalments)
• Flexi-time working with potential to take up to one day/month in lieu of overtime (overtime paid up to Associate level)
