Our Client, a multi-disciplinary transport consultancy that has worked on some of the most iconic and important transportation projects in the world, is seeking to strengthen their Modelling and Appraisal teams.

With opportunities for strategic and Microsimulation modelers at Senior and Principal Consultant grade; our client is particularly interested in applicants that have experience of development impact assessments, transport scheme appraisals (inc Rail) and business cases.

Candidates will have knowledge and experience of working with Strategic Modelling software such as SATURN, Cube Voyager, EMME, VISUM and/or Microsimulation modelling software such as Vissim, Aimsun and Paramics.

Training will be offered to develop skills for modelling packages where experience is lacking; there will also be an expectation to work closely with clients acting as project managers whilst developing relationships and future work streams.

The current workload is varied and includes development assessments for private sector developers using both microsimulation and strategic modelling software, preparation of business cases for road and public transport schemes, assessment of clean air zone schemes, development of multi-modal transport strategies and also the maintenance and application of major highways models.
