About the role
Based in Guildford, this is a hybrid role, allowing for some remote work alongside office-based collaboration. You will work across a diverse range of projects, initially focusing on transport planning for development-led schemes. Seeking someone who can confidently manage and deliver projects of varying scales with both public and private sector clients, requiring minimal supervision. Strong communication skills – both written and verbal – are essential, as you will be expected to present ideas clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders.
We welcome candidates with:
- A degree (or higher) in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field
- Significant experience in development-focused transport planning
- A proven track record of delivering Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
- Experience conducting access feasibility studies and design
- Knowledge and application of relevant design guidance (e.g. LTN 1/20, DMRB, Manual for Streets)
- A solid understanding of the planning process in England
- Excellent communication and client liaison skills
- The ability to mentor, manage and train junior staff
- Experience in contributing to, and leading, bids and financial proposals
- Strong project management skills
- Proficiency in industry-specific software (e.g. Junctions 9, LinSig, AutoCAD)
- While chartership with a relevant professional body would be beneficial, it is not essential.
